And more Pyrex! For $.20, you can't pass it up.
Another piece of milk glass.
I assume these are spun cotton?
I was needing some more old books for decorating, and just look at these colors! The one about buying country property isnt that old, late 70's, but I liked the title. And I try & make sure I like the title when I'm buying these. They were all $.20 a piece!
Some little eggs...
And some nests. This beats craft store prices!
I always see these dishes on other people's blogs, and I saw several in the antique shops in Virginia. Now I have two!
I almost coudlnt believe I found this. There is a new thrift shop down the road. They are okay, kind of pricey. Like $4-$5 a t-shirt pricey. But for some reason, this vintage Christmas tablecloth was marked $1.99. I almost couldnt believe it!
Course, there is one flaw. Maybe this explains the price?
And finally, somewhere to hopefully display some of this Pyrex I keep finding. This was a Craigslist find. Obviously it needs some updating! But I think it will look great when we're done with it. Question is... what color? White? Or maybe a soft/apple green? (That glass has already been removed! I'm debating between taking the doors off, or adding chicken wire. What do you think?)

I like that china cabinet, I think it would look good white, maybe with a contrasting color on the back. I like the glass doors, but if you are looking for more of a country look, then chicken wire would look good too.
ReplyDeleteLove the milk glass. Its great to see people collecting it again. :-)
ReplyDeleteThose are all great finds. I love the milk glass. I can't wait to see the hutch finished.
ReplyDeleteSuch great finds! I think the hutch could look cute in two colours... even green on the bottom and white on top!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! Garage sale season starts this weekend here...can't wait!
ReplyDeleteLove the cabinet - I agree with painting it white, and then painting the inside a different color. That way all of your pretty white dishes will really show up!
ReplyDeleteWell, I do love me some chicken wire. It's a little tricky to staple on sometimes, but worth the effort.
ReplyDeleteI got the same milk glass bowl today at the GW!
ReplyDeleteYou got some great finds...I want to come thrifting with you! I think the china cabinet would look great painted soft apple green and distressed with chicken wire in the doors, I would also paint the inside a different color.

I wouldn't care about the patch. I just love that tablecloth. I am drooling. I decorate with red's and green's. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Wendy. I love those little wooden birds. I've been buying all the little wooden ornaments I can find like that for crafting. I've got a new addiction for these. You found a ton of goodies. I think the china hutch would be so cute with the chicken wire.
ReplyDeleteHugs...Tracy :)
GREAT cabinet! I think chicken wire in the doors is a great idea. This would be great painted a fun color and slightly distressed. LOTS of potential!
