I'm almost embarrassed to admit how long we've had this Crayola Glow Explosion Sand sitting around (they got it for Easter!), but we finally drug it out and put it to use. It was pretty easy to set up - you had to mix the sand & some activator together. The kit we had came with 3 containers to fill with the sand. You can see above what the sand looked like after we mixed it.
Like anything artsy & fun - it was messy! This is my table after we finished.
This is the floor. Kind of looks like stars, huh?
Here is Blake's creation.
And Morgan's.
This stuff was a lot of fun! The kids really enjoyed it. The glow only lasted about 4 hours, but they glow pretty bright. I had to keep the lights off so I could vacuum up the mess!

The "messes" are so pretty to look at in the photos...kinda like looking into outer space...but probably not so attractive to clean up. I am an empty nester so I am out of touch with new kid's items...is the sand in bottles? Thanks for posting this very unique subject...it was fun reading.
