Colonial Mills/CSN Stores Review
A little while ago, I mentioned that I would be doing another review for CSN Stores. If you havent heard of them by now, you really should check them out! They have EVERYTHING. Seriously. Pretty much anything you need, for any room of your house. Like headboards, for example. While I didnt need a headboard, I did need something for storage. My two girls share a bedroom, and since Morgan is so little, and likes to pull everything out, Layla doesnt like her being in their room. So a lot of Morgan's toys live in our living room. Hence this lovely look.
After much browsing, I found this Colonial Mills braided utility basket. I decided on this because it's big (18x18) and I thought it would look nice being in the living room.
And I think I was right! I know not having the toys in there would look even better, but this is life, and the toys must be here. This basket is very sturdy and well made, and I love the color (there were 18 colors to choose from)!. Before it got loaded with toys, both Morgan and Blake were using it as a boat. I should have taken some pictures! I would definitely reccomend this basket.

A Recycling Box Re-Do
I'm sure a lot of you have these lovely recycling bins. Not very pretty! We started with just one, but once we started recycling more, we needed more. A quick call to the recycling company and the next recycling day, we had more bins. They started out looking like this:
But thanks to a handy hubby who was bored one day, and some old cedar pulled from a job they did, they turned into this:
Much better, don't you think?

Christmas in July Gift Exchange
I was in the mood for a swap, so when Linda at Craftaholics Anonymous posted about a Christmas in July Gift Exchange, I was in! Look at the totally cute purse that I was given! My gifter was Melissa at Seventeen. I love it, thank you Melissa!
My giftee was Caitlin at Adventures in [new] Mommyhood. She said she liked pink, and things to decorate the house with, so I whipped up a button monogram for her.

The Pumpkin Patch
It's been awhile since I posted about the pumpkin patch, so I thought I'd share some pictures. Both areas have been tilled, made into hills & the seeds have been planted. The hill thing is a lot harder than it looks! We ordered our seeds from Henry Fields & Gurneys. The weird looking stuff in these rows is newspapers, to help block weeds. In this small field we have birdhouse gourds & Jack Be Little pumpkins.
And here is the big field.
And here is the big field.
Out here we have jack-o-lanterns, Lumina, Cinderella, Jack Be Little, Lil Pump-ke-mon & Big Max pumpkins. I'm a little disappointed in some of the seeds. The first few rows to the right of this picture have the jack-o-lantern pumpkins planted, and not many of the seeds have come up. We ended up getting some seeds from Lowe's and those have almost all popped up. Not sure what happened, but it's kind of frustrating.

Help Needed... Opinions?
I'm going to order one of those free canvases from the Canvas People, but my problem is, I don't know which photo. So I thought I'd ask your opinion, because I can't decide!!

Easy Update
Just a quick, easy project here. Maybe I'm procrastinating the harder ones? There are so many things I want to finish, but just need one or two things to do it, and it's holding me up. This one started with an old Glade candle jar that we were using as a pencil holder. (Tell me I'm not the only one who cleans out & saves candle jars?) This is what it looked like:
Add some primer.
Some yellow spray paint and some colorful clothesline from the Dollar Tree, and voila... much cuter!

4th of July Recap
Seems like everyone is sharing their 4th of July fun, so I thought I would, too. I usually buy the kids a shirt, but this year we decided to try tie dye. They look great, right? Too bad they faded to pink! Disappointing, but the kids still liked them, even Blake.
I really don't have any decorations for the 4th, so I whipped up this banner.
Of course, we had lots of yummy food... hot dogs, hamburgers, pulled pork with homemade BBQ sauce... I also made the Snickers cake and this cake, thanks to Make It & Love It. I made their frosting & decorated it their way, but used this method for the layers. I liked it better without the frosting through the blue.
